In a vibrant display of technological prowess, the Kasumigaseki Campus of Teikyo University played host to the kick-off event for the much-anticipated student hackathon, "Tornado 2023". Hackathons, immersive gatherings of software developers, unfolded at the heart of the bustling campus. Marking its third iteration, this hackathon extravaganza spans from August 1st to September 9th, 2023. Handpicked students from across the nation, having sailed through rigorous interviews and meticulous document screening, converge to form dynamic teams of five. The challenge? To craft a tangible, innovative product. Each member wears multiple hats - a product owner, a design virtuoso shaping user experiences, and a meticulous engineer breathing life into projects. Guiding them are devoted mentors hailing from prominent supporter companies. The university's staunch backing and collaboration with the Okinaga Research Institute further underscore the event's significance.
Among the brilliant minds fueling this hackathon is Hibiki Tamaki, a fourth-year student from the Faculty of Economics. The inaugural day of the kick-off event witnessed enlightening lectures from sponsors and supporters. Past victors shared their invaluable insights, setting the stage for a riveting ideathon, spanning over five hours. The second day brought forth a brainstorming ideathon, with teams meticulously charting milestones leading up to the grand finale. This culminated in a series of compelling presentations and meticulous reviews of planning proposals.
A melting pot of diverse talents, spanning various regions and disciplines, assembles to sculpt groundbreaking products and deliver awe-inspiring final presentations. Armed with boundless determination, these students embark on a month-long journey, poised to refine their planning, design, engineering, and presentation skills, all in pursuit of the ultimate accolade.
