Tanabata Experience Event HeldHachioji Campus

On Monday, July 8, 2024, a Tanabata experience event was held as part of a Japanese cultural experience at OUCHI COMMONS, Building 11, Teikyo University Hachioji Campus.
This experience event was planned mainly by the student concierge in charge of the International Exchange Division's front desk operations, and was held for international students and Japanese students. Since the Tanabata culture originated in China and Japan, it seemed new to students from other countries such as Korea and Malaysia, and they were able to create decorations using origami paper of various colors and patterns to decorate the bamboo. While creating the decorations, they also introduced each other's country's culture, customs, and meanings of words, and wrote their goals on tanzaku paper to introduce them, showing signs of lively international exchange.
Our university will continue to increase opportunities for interaction between international students and Japanese students and promote active international exchange on campus.
