Utsunomiya CampusEngineering Club "RoboLab" Wins World Robot Olympiad Japan 2024

The World Robot Olympiad Japan 2024 was held at Toyama City General Gymnasium on Saturday, August 24th and Sunday, August 25th, 2024, and RoboLab, an engineering club from Teikyo University's Utsunomiya Campus, won the Future Engineers division.
The competition is aimed at high school, university, and technical college students, and is a contest to compete in more advanced robot control. This year's competition theme is AI and self-driving robots, in which self-driving robots use cameras to identify obstacles and walls and accomplish their missions. Three teams from the university's clubs participated: Teikyo Robomecha, Teikyo Robostar, and Teikyo Robolab. Teikyo Robostar took home the impressive victory. They have also been selected to represent Japan at the world championships to be held in Izmir, Turkey in November.
All of the students who participated in this tournament were first-year students, and we look forward to seeing them achieve great things in the future.
