Teikyo University selected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "Recurrent Education Ecosystem Construction Support Project"

On Thursday, June 12, 2025, the results of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's FY2024 supplementary budget "Recurrent Education Ecosystem Construction Support Project" were announced, and Teikyo University's program was selected.

This support project supports efforts to create recurrent education systems in collaboration with local communities and industry, with the aim of promoting the sustainable development of Japanese society and local communities by having universities collaborate and work with local communities and industry to develop educational programs based on the human resource needs, including of business Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration, thereby promoting the establishment of a recurrent education platform and an industry-academia-government collaboration system.

This time, Teikyo University's program "Improving regional corporate capabilities and regional co-creation by building the Tochigi Learning Platform to Increase Human Resource Recruitment and Retention" was selected for Menu 1, "Supporting the creation of a recurrent education platform through Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration-government collaboration," which focuses on regional revitalization.
The program aims to improve the recruitment and retention capabilities of local companies in cooperation with companies in Tochigi Prefecture, where Utsunomiya Campus is located. The program aims to develop educational programs that provide the skills and knowledge required by companies and support the development of local human resources by implementing them jointly with the university and company, and to promote projects aimed at resolving local issues through cooperation between the university and company, with the aim of co-creating the local area.

Of the 43 applications, 27 were accepted, with two private universities, including ours, being selected.
Through this selected project, Teikyo University will strengthen its ties with local companies in Tochigi Prefecture and proceed with building a recurrent education platform to promote regional co-creation.
